Different drawing parts usually follow different paths. Most drawing follows a curve instead of a straight line. The motion path of a stroke point is always a straight line now. I just implemented basic stroke to stroke inbetween generation in my editor now.
Harmony also have smilar function called "Morph". It's a simple, but very powerful feature that makes the process of automatic tweening much easier and I don't know these softwares before.
